ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union women's volleyball team fell in five sets, 14-25, 25-20, 27-25, 17-25 and 14-16, Saturday afternoon taking on Ohio Northern in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
The Purple Raiders (17-8, 5-2 OAC) were led by
Heaven Bartell (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) with 12 kills while
Molly McKee (North Ridgeville) finished with 10 kills.
Mount Union recorded 19 blocks as a team as
Ava Bolen (Wellsburg, W. Va. / Brooke) led the way with10 total as she one solo and nine assisted and
Cami Welty (Eastlake / Eastlake North) finished with six total having a solo and five assisted.
Melissa Hansen (Hudson) and
Casey Kildow (Bethesda / Union Local) finished with 28 and 20 assists with both of them having double digit digs as well with 11 for Kildow and 10 for Hansen.
Averi Haley (Orrville) led the way in digs with 15 for the Raiders while Bartell had 21 and
Kalie Campbell (Wooster / Triway) finished with 17 total.
Ohio Northern (18-6, 4-3 OAC) was led by Erin Wagner with 17 kills, Grace Conrad with 46 assists and Rachel Jennings with 40 digs.
Mount Union will now travel to Marietta on Wednesday with a matchup start time at 7 PM against the No. 11 nationally-ranked Marietta Pioneers in OAC play.
