ALLIANCE, Ohio – The 13-time National Champion Mount Union football team earned a first round bye in the 2024 NCAA Division III Playoffs and will host a second round game on Saturday, November 30 at Kehres Stadium.
The Purple Raiders (10-0), who earned their 33
rd overall and eighth-straight undefeated regular season, won their league-record 35
th Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship to secure the conference's NCAA automatic qualifying bid for this year's NCAA Playoffs.
Mount Union has a 112-21 (.842) record all time in NCAA Playoff games, advancing to the Stagg Bowl 22 times since 1993 with an NCAA-record 13 National Championships. Mount Union has now made the tournament an NCAA-record 35 times.
The Purple Raiders will play the winner of the first-round matchup between John Carroll (8-2) and Mount St. Joseph (8-2), which will take place Saturday, Nov. 23. The Second Round gets underway Saturday, November 30.
