Men's Swimming: Raiders Split in Double Duel at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team lost to Oberlin 199-97 but defeated Wooster 150-138 on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers:
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of senior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.), sophomore AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales), senior Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va. / Homeschool) and sophomore Blayne Maurer (Canton / GlenOak) finished third with a time of 1:38.38
  • 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished in second with a time of 10:09.93
  • 200-yard freestyle: senior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 1:42.61 and junior Lucas Starling (Lexington) finished third with a time of 1:45.04
  • 100-yard backstroke: junior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 51.75 and sophomore Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem) finished second with a time of 52.23
  • 200-yard butterfly: Hubbard finished third with a time of 1:58.89
  • 50-yard freestyle: Starling finished third with a time of 21.87
  • 100-yard freestyle: Starling finished second with a time of 47.53 and Cossin finished third with a time of 47.69
  • 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:52.59
  • 500-yard freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 4:39.29 and Burnett finished third with a time of 4:54.22
  • 100-yard butterfly: Beyer finished second with a time of 52.55
  • 200-yard individual medley: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:56.80
  • 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Beyer, Starling, Arneson and Hathaway finished second with a time of 1:26.27
The Raiders are on the road again next when they travel to Berea on Saturday, November 16 to take on Baldwin Wallace in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup at 1 p.m.
