HOUSTON, Texas – The Mount Union football team will face North Central in the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship Stagg Bowl LI in Houston, Texas on Sunday, January 5.
 
Sunday's Championship will be the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs and a rematch of the 2022 Stagg Bowl. All five meetings have occurred in the NCAA Playoffs. The Purple Raiders' last win against the Cardinals was in the 2013 NCAA Semifinals.

Mount Union, appearing in its NCAA-record 23rd Stagg Bowl, has won an NCAA-record 13 National Championships. The Purple Raiders have competed in the Stagg Bowl six times of the past 10 seasons. Northern Central's four total Stagg Bowl appearances have come in four-straight seasons, with NCAA Championships in 2022 and 2019.
