ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union Women's Track and Field team started the season off strong hosting the Mount Union Toy Drive Meet Saturday afternoon.
 
The Purple Raiders took the top four spots in the 400-Meters with Maddy Miles taking the victory in 58.53 while Halle Cochran and Cora Liskai took second and third with times of 1:00.52 and 1:01.25.
 
Miles picked up another victory in the 200-Meters running a 25.86.
 
Kennedy Berger won the 60-Meters in a time of 8.03.
 
Ashley Cockrell picked up the victory in the 60-Meter hurdles with a time of 9.38.
 
Rylie Haynes took the top spot in the long jump with a leap of 17-feet 4.75-inches while Mackenzie Davis took second with a leap of 17-feet 2.75-inches.
 
Makayla Sitzlar grabbed the top spot in the shot put with a throw of 42-feet 10.75-inches while Makenna Rudy took third with a throw of 39-feet 10-inches.
 
Madeline Burgess and Becca Santom finished second and third in the triple jump with leaps of 34-feet 4-inches and 34-feet 3.5-inches.
 
Mount Union will now wait till after the Christmas break to compete again heading to the Muskingum Meet 1 on Saturday, January 18th.
