ALLAINCE, Ohio—The Mount Union track and field team won 13 events at the Raider Tune Up Saturday afternoon.
Mount Union took the top 4 spots in the men's 500-Meters with
Matt McBride (Conneaut) winning in a 1:04.74,
Justin Knoch (Canton / GlenOak) second with a 1:05.42,
Tyler Kohlmann (Huron) third with a 1:07.45 and
Jacob Jarrett (Collins / Western Reserve) took fourth with a 1:07.50.
Vincent Giumenti (Dover) won the men's mile with a time of 4:12.36 while
Mason Kutz (Dalton) took third with a 4:20.52.
Taylor Hennessey (Madison) won the women's 500-Meters with a 1:20.90 while
Kennedy Schlessman (Huron) finished second with a 1:21.70.
Kalie Campbell (Wooster / Triway) took home the victory in the women's long jump with a leap of 17-feet 3.25-inches while
Mackenzie Davis (Tiffin) finished second with a leap of 16-feet 8.75-inches.
Elizabeth Funkhouser (Carrollton) took the victory in the women's 800-Meters with a 2:23.24 and
Halle Cochran (Salem) took second with a 2:23.42.
Chris Tooms (New Concord / John Glenn) grabbed the victory in the men's 800-Meters with a 1:58.96 while
Matt Tschantz (Canton / GlenOak) finished second with a 1:59.39.
Erin Smith (Dover) won the women's 1,000-Meters with a 3:06.30 and
Lauryn Chapman (Westerville / Westerville North) finished second with a 3:12.78.
Monica Clark (Akron / Manchester) won the women's 200-Meters with a 26.86 while Campbell finished second with a 27.89.
Buzz Kline (Mogadore / Field) took the win in the weight throw with a toss of 51-feet 9-inches while
Kaylee Wampler (Clyde) finished third with a toss of 44-feet 8-inches.
Ryan McVicker (Dover) took home the win in the men's shot put with a throw of 52-feet 2.75-inches and
Carter Lewis (Alliance) finished third with a toss of 49-feet 7-inches.
Colton Hanlon (Uniontown / Lake) won the men's pole vault with a leap of 15-feet .75-inches.
Clark also won the women's 60-Meters with an 8.11.
Vinny Zeren (Louisville / St. Thomas Aquinas) won the men's 60-Meters with a 7.05.
Makayla Sitzlar (Sugarcreek / Garaway) and
Kenna Johnston (Bay Village) finished second and third in the women's shot put with throws of 40-feet 11.75-inches and 38-feet .25-inches.
Becca Santom (Grove City, Pa. / Grove City Area) took home runner-up with a 10.21 in the women's 60-Meter Hurdles.
Camden Cantrell (Eastlake / Eastlake North) finished second in the men's long jump with a leap of 20-feet .5-inches.
McVicker took second in the men's weight throw with a toss of 47-feet 3-inches.
Jacob Newby (Solon) finished second in the men's 400-Meters with a 52.77.
Austin Olinger (Avon Lake) finished third in the men's 60-Meter hurdles with an 8.99.
Caitlyn Gatta (Louisville) finished third in the Mile with a time of 5:30.91.
Jessica Mason (Twinsburg) and
Kayla McAdams (Massillon / Massillon Perry) finished tied for third in the women's pole vault with leaps of 11-feet .75-inches.
Laney Duff (Millersburg / West Holmes) finished third in the women's high jump with a leap of 5-feet 1.75-inches.
Mason Palmer (Navarre / Fairless) took third in the men's 1,000-Meters with a time of 2:43.24.
Mount Union now will head to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship on Friday and Saturday next weekend in New Concord, Ohio hosted by Muskingum University.
