NEW YORK, New York—The Mount Union men's track and field team dropped five top 25 Division III marks and one just outside the top 25 this weekend at two different meets this weekend.
Matt McBride (Conneaut) and
Jared Storm (Barberton) took first and second in the 400-Meters with times of 47.73 and 47.89. This moves Storm into seventh in Division III and McBride will continue to have the nation lead.
Drake Willenborg (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon East) moved up the Division III rankings placing third in the weight throw at Ashland with a toss of 60-feet 5-inches now sitting in 10th in the division.
Aaron Blevins (Windham) won the men's heptathlon in Ashland with a score of 4,597 points which is currently 23
rd in Division III.
Vincent Giumenti (Dover) took second in the 3,000-Meters at Ashland with a time of 8:21.25 which is ranked 25th in Division III.
Curtis Joppeck (New London) finished third in the mile at the Ashland meet running 4:13.26 which is 26th in Division III currently.
McBride along with Isaac Pittman (Copley),
Haden Gibson (Brookfield) and
Josh Fouche (Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit) finished second in the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 3:18.78.
Mount Union returns to the track next weekend with two more meets at Grand Valley and the All-Ohio Championships at Otterbein.
