NEW YORK, New York—The Mount Union women's track and field team dropped five top 30 Division III marks this weekend at three different meets.
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) took home the victory in the 60-Meters with a time of 7.63 just .04 off her division III lead. She then came back for the 800-Meters and ran a 2:13.82 missing her mothers, Heather O'Shea, record by .83 seconds but currently ranks eighth in the Division III.
Madison Miles (Padua / Padua Franciscan) took home fourth in the 400-Meters at the Armory with a 57.59 which sits 13th in Division III while
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) took sixth with a 58.21 which is 30th in Division III.
Winning the Ashland meet in the 400-Meters was Elizabeth Funkhouser (Carrollton) with a time of 59.28.
Makayla Sitzlar (Sugarcreek / Garaway) finished third in the shot put at the Ashland meet with a toss of 42-feet 4.25-inches.
Lauren Roncone (North Canton / Hoover) had a Division III top 20 leap in the long jump with 18-feet 1-inch. She is currently ranked tied for sixth with a leap from earlier in the season.
Mount Union returns to the track next weekend with two more meets at Grand Valley and the All-Ohio Championships at Otterbein.
