Men's Track and Field: Raiders Grab 8 Victories at Cincinnati and Marietta

CINCINNATI/MARIETTA, Ohio— The Mount Union men's track and field team picked up eight wins and three top ten time in Division III while being split over two meets at Cincinnati and Marietta Saturday afternoon.
 
Jared Storm, Brady Burrey, Tylir Shannon and Tyler Gill finished third in the 4x100-Meter relay in Cincinnati with a time of 40.86 which currently is the top time in Division III.
 
Shannon teamed up with Justin Knoch, Nick Scherson and Isaac Pittman to win the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 3:15.26 which is the top time in Division III.
 
Burrey came back in the 200-Meters to win the meet with a time of 21.54 and Storm finished third with a 21.76. Burrey is currently ninth in Division III.
 
Chris Tooms won the steeplechase in Cincinnati with a time of 9:44.61 while Cohen Boyce finished third with a time of 11:06.00.
 
Braydon Lazzara won the javelin in Marietta with a throw of 160-feet 4-inches while Wyatt Freeman finished third with a throw of 142-feet 11-inches.
 
E.J. Short won the high jump in Marietta with a jump of 6-feet .75-inches.
 
Carter Lewis won the shot put in Marietta with a toss of 46-feet 3.5-inches.
 
Lawiltaye Robinson won the 110-Meter hurdles in Marietta with a time of 16.49.
 
Aiden Schaffer won the 400-Meters in Marietta with a time of 51.24.
 
Vincenti Giumenti finished as the runner-up in the 1,500-Meter with a time of 3:54.95.
 
Drake Willenborg finished fourth in the hammer throw in Cincinnati with throw of 181-feet 5-inches.
 
Zach Mullins took second in the hammer throw in Marietta with a throw of 152-feet 4-inches.
 
Mason Arth and Cameron Nightingale took second and third in the pole vault with leaps of 13-feet 2.25-inches in Marietta.
 
Cedric Mays and E.J. Short took second and third in the triple jump with leaps of 41-feet 4-inches and 39-feet 4.5-inches in Marietta.
 
Arth also took fourth in the 200-Meters in Marietta with a time of 23.13.
 
Mount Union will now head to Wooster next weekend for the Wooster Invitational.
