CINCINNATI/MARIETTA, Ohio— The Mount Union women's track and field team picked up seven wins and three top ten time in Division III while being split over two meets at Cincinnati and Marietta Saturday afternoon.
Kenadee Wayt started her outdoor season with a second-place finish in the 400-Meters in Cincinnati with a time of 55.08 which is the top time in Division III by more than 1.5 seconds.
Wayt came back in the 200-Meters finishing fourth with a time of 24.75 which is fifth in Division III.
Wayt teamed up with
Mary Mason, Maddy Miles and
Elizabeth Funkhouser to finish third in the 4x400-Meter relay in Cincinnati with a time of 3:55.13 which is fourth in Division III.
Reese Osborn won the hammer throw in Marietta with a throw of 134-feet 2-inches.
Mount Union swept the top three spots in the pole vault in Marietta.
Jessica Mason won with a height of 11-feet 5.75-inches,
Kayla McAdams finished second with a height of 11-feet 1.75-inches and
Annalyse Ames took third with a height of 10-feet 4-inches.
Mount Union finished with three of the top four spots in the long jump in Marietta.
Mackenzie Davis won with a leap of 17-feet .25-inches,
Kalie Campbell took second with 16-feet 8.75-inches and
Calena Jablonski took fourth with 15-feet 3-inches.
Makenna Rudy and
Kenna Johnston took the top two spots in the shot put with throws of 39-feet 8.5-inches and 36-feet 7.25-inches in Marietta.
Mount Union swept the top three spot in the high jump at Marietta.
Laney Duff won with a leap of 4-feet 9.75-inches,
Abby Zappola took home second with a jump of 4-feet 6-inches and
Keirsten Daugherty took third with 4-feet 4-inches.
Becca Santom won the 400-Meter hurdles with a time of 1:14.01.
Lindsey Zera won the 100-Meter hurdles in Marietta with a time of 17.65.
Campbell took third in the 100-Meter dash as well with a time of 13.42.
Mason also finished fourth in the 800-Meters in Cincinnati with a time of 2:17.48.
Caitlyn Gatta finished fourth in the steeplechase in Cincinnati with a time of 12:17.48.
Santom finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 30-feet 2.25-inches while Jablonski took fourth with a leap of 29-feet 8.25-inches in Marietta.
In the javelin in Marietta Daugherty and Lauren Radalia finished second and third with throws of 91-feet 6-inches and 87-feet 8-inches.
Mount Union will now head to Wooster next weekend for the Wooster Invitational.
