ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union men's track and field team competed at three different meets over three days as there was four top three finishes and two top 20 NCAA marks.
The 4x100-Meter quartet of
Jared Storm (Barberton),
Tylir Shannon (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds),
Tyler Gill (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds) and
Vinny Zeren (Louisville / St. Thomas Aquinas) won at Otterbein with a time of 41.19.
Gill, Zeren and Shannon then took the top three spots in the 200-Meters with times of 21.63, 21.79 and 21.99 respectively.
Matt McBride (Conneaut) took fourth in the 400-Meters at Ohio State which ranks him 15th in Division III.
Drake Willenborg (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon East) finished 16th at Ohio State in the hammer throw with a toss of 186-feet 2-inches which is 18th in Division III.
Isaac Pittman (Copley) finished second in the 400-Meters at Otterbein with a time of 49.94.
Blaine Kitchen (Tontogany / Otsego) took third in the 400-Meter hurdles at Otterbein in a time of 57.21.
Mount Union will tune up next Thursday at the Walsh Invite before heading to Tiffin, Ohio to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference championship on Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd.
