Women's Track and Field: Raiders Grab Five Division III Top 22 Marks

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union women's track and field team competed at three different meets over three days as there was seven top three finishes and five top 22 NCAA marks.
 
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic), Madison Miles (Brunswick / Padua Franciscan), Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) and Halle Cochran (Salem) finished second in the 4x400-Meter relay at Ohio State which is currently third in Division III.
 
Makayla Sitzlar (Sugarcreek / Garaway) won the shot-put competition at Otterbein with a throw of 43-feet 11.25-inches which is currently 17th in Division III.
 
Wayt moved up the Division III standings in the 200-Meters running 24.55 finishing 11th at Ohio State and placing sixth in Division III currently.
 
Miles finished 11th in the 400-Meters at Ohio State running a 56.88 which is 17th in Division III.
 
Elizabeth Funkhouser (Carrollton) won the 400-Meter hurdles at Otterbein in a time of 1:04.28 which is currently 21st in Division III.
 
Makenna Rudy (Salem) finished third in the shot-put with a throw of 41-feet 3.25-inches.
 
Laney Duff (Millersburg / W. Holmes) tied for third in the high jump at the Slippery rock meet with a height of 5-feet 1-inch.
 
At Otterbein Dae Dae Nash (Akron / Buchtel) and Taylor Hennessey (Madison) finished second and third in the 400-Meters with times of 1:00.35 and 1:00.59.
 
Mount Union will tune up next Thursday at the Walsh Invite before heading to Tiffin, Ohio to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference championship on Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd.
