GREENWOOD, Ind. – Mount Union women's track and field/Cross Country graduate student
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic), seniors
Madison Miles (Brunswick / Padua Franciscan),
Lauren Roncone (North Canton / Hoover) and junior
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams.
Wayt grabbed the sixth ever Elite 90 award winner and second female Purple Raider to win the award with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Biology and currently with a perfect 4.0 in her Master of Physician Studies. Wayt has the most titles at the NCAA championships for Mount Union with five total and leads all Purple Raiders with 22 All-American finishes which is the fourth most in all of Division III. Wayt picked up two NCAA Indoor Titles in the 200 and 400-Meter while finishing National Runner-up in the Indoor 60-Meters and the Outdoor 200 and 400-Meters.
Miles is a senior biochemistry major with a 3.831 GPA. She is a 10-time All-American on the track and currently has two indoor school records and one outdoor record. She picked up three Ohio Athletic Conference titles this outdoor season in the 400-Meters along with the 4x100 and 4x400-Meter relay and grabbed an OAC Indoor title in the 4x400-Meter relay. Miles qualified to the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor individual 400-Meters this season.
Mason is a junior exercise science major with a 4.0 GPA. She is a four time All-American on the track and currently holds two indoor and three outdoor school records. She picked up the school records in the Indoor and Outdoor 800-Meters while qualifying for the National meet in both NCAA Indoor and Outdoor National Meet this season. She picked up OAC Titles in the 4x400-Meter relay for indoor and outdoor while grabbing the 4x800-Meter relay victory outdoor.
Roncone is a senior exercise science major with a 4.0 GPA. She is a four time All-American on the track and currently has an indoor and outdoor school record.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9 (women) and July 10 (men). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
