ALLIANCE, Ohio – A pair of Mount Union football standouts were named on the 2024 D3football.com Preseason All-America team.
 
Senior offensive tackle Ben Lilly (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) and senior defensive end Rossy Moore (Lima, Ohio/Lima Central Catholic) were both named on the First Team.
 
Lilly, a three-year starter, earned All-America honors by the Associated Press and D3football.com last season. A First Team All-OAC honoree, Lilly was also named the conference's Ken Wable Offensive Lineman of the Year.
 
Moore, a two-time All-American, was the 2023 D3football.com All-Region 4 Team Defensive Player of the Year as he led Mount Union in tackles for loss (23.0) and sacks (11.5). He earned the OAC Paul Hoernemann Defensive Lineman of the Year and All-OAC First Team recognition for the second-straight year. Moore was also an NCAA Division III Cliff Harris Award Finalist.
 
The Purple Raiders, who were picked fifth in the 2024 D3football.com Preseason Poll and second in the Lindy's Sports Magazine, start the 2024 season on Saturday, September 7 at Ferrum College at 1 p.m.
