LEXINGTON, Kentucky—The Mount Union women's volleyball team grabbed a victory that lasted over a full day of play while falling to another opponent on Saturday afternoon at the Transylvania Invite.
The Purple Raiders (10-5) picked up a four-set win over Mount St. Joseph (2-10), 25-20, 25-18, 18-25 and 25-19, as it took over a day to play as the remnants of Hurricane Helene hit the area knocking out the power after three sets of play on Friday with both teams returning to play the last set Saturday morning.

Heaven Bartell (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) led the way having 15 kills and 15 digs on a hitting percentage of .469. Sophomore
Molly McKee (North Ridgeville) picked up nine kills and four blocks while sophomore
Ava Bolen (Wellsburg, W. Va. / Brooke) picked up four blocks.
Senior
Casey Kildow (Bethesda / Union Local) finished with six service aces and 20 assists while sophomore
Melissa Hansen (Hudson) picked up 19 assists.
Senior
Katelyn Lesko (Mineral Ridge) and sophomore
Averi Haley (Orrville) finished the game with nine digs each.
In the second match Mount Union got swept by Wisconsin Eau Claire (11-4) 25-14, 25-15 and 25-15
Bartell led the way in hitting with seven kills, Kildow and Hansen each had nine assists and Lesko finished with 11 digs.
Mount Union now opens conference play with a home match against Otterbein on Friday October, 4th at 7 pm.
