Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union women's basketball took down Heidleberg 107-70 in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (6-7, 1-5 OAC) was led by
Dae Dae Nash (Akron / Bucthel) and
Reese Triplett (New Philadelphia / Tuscarawas Central Catholic) with 13 points each.
Elizabeth Mason (Alliance / Marlington) scored 12 points while
Abby Muckleroy (Canfield) and
Tess Conroy (Valley View / Cuyahoga Heights) each scored 11 points.
Heidleberg (1-12, 0-6 OAC) was led by Morgan Altenburger with 26 points and eight rebounds.
Mount Union began the game with seven straight points with a bucket from Mason and a three from Nash and Triplett. After a bucket from Heidelberg Mount Union went on another 7-0 run to take a 14-2. Heidleberg cut the lead to nine at 16-7 but Mount Union scored five striaght leading 21-7. Mount Union outscored Heidelberg 16-13 over the rest of the quarter taking a 37-20 lead.
The Raiders got the second quarter started with a 9-0 run as five different players scored in the run. Heidelberg and Mount Union traded baskets the rest of the quarter as Mount Union led 55-35 going into the halftime break.
Mount Union kept the lead by 16 or more the rest of the way and extdened its lead out to 40 before ending the game up 107-70.
Mount Union remains at home taking on No. 14 Baldwin Wallace in OAC play.
