ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union football team had five standouts on the 2024 D3football.com All-America Teams.
Senior RB
Tyler Echeverry (Naples, FL/Barron Collier) and junior OL
Giovanni Kennedy (Avon, OH/St. Edward) were both named on the First Team Offense. Senior bandit
Rossy Moore (Lima, OH/Lima Central Catholic) was named on the First Team Defense. Senior DT
Von Factor (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven) was named on the Second Team Defense, while junior DE
Kaleb Brown (La Plata, MD/La Plata) earned a spot on the Third Team Defense.
Echeverry, earning his third All-America honor this season, leads NCAA Division III with 29 rushing touchdowns - a career-high. His rushing TD total is tied for fifth in program history for the most in a season.
Moore leads the team in tackles for loss (20.5) and total tackles (career-high 106), while second on the team in sacks (11.5).
Kennedy, earning his second All-America nod this season, has anchored an offensive line that leads the OAC in points per game (43.1), yards per game (466.5), and rushing yards per game (236.6).
Factor is third on the team in tackles for loss (15.0) and sacks (10.5). Brown leads the Purple Raiders in sacks (12.5) and second in tackles for loss (17.0). This is the first career All-America honor for both Factor and Brown.
Mount Union will play North Central in the 2024 NCAA Championship Stagg Bowl LI on Sunday, January 5 at 8 PM EST/7 PM CST, airing on the main ESPN channel.
