NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Mount Union senior bandit
Rossy Moore (Lima, OH/Lima Central Catholic) earned his fourth All-America honor of the season after being selected to the first-ever Walter Camp Division III All-America team.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation was founded in 1967 to perpetuate the ideals of Walter Camp, a former Yale University athlete and head football coach, and to continue the tradition of annually selecting an All-America team. The organization has produced college football All-American teams for 135 years, starting in 1889. 2024 marks the first year in the foundation's history that they are releasing a Division III All-America team.
Moore led the team with 20.5 tackles for loss (8
th in NCAA Division III) to go along with 11.5 sacks (tied career high and second on the team) – third-straight year with double-digit sacks. He led the team with a career-high 111 tackles. Moore finishes his illustrious career with 66 tackles for loss and 36 sacks - both second in program history. Moore added to his career achievements against John Carroll in the 2024 NCAA Second Round with his first career touchdown (a 31-yard fumble return). Moore was a finalist for the 2024 Cliff Harris Award which recognizes the top small college defensive player in the country in NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Moore already received 2024 All-America recognition from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), the Associated Press (AP), and D3football.com.
