WOOSTER, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team finished in first place after the first day of the Wooster Invitational on Thursday evening.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 512 which is 116 points ahead of second place Wooster.
Top Finishers
- 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of freshman Ethan Harvey (Macedonia / St. Ignatius), junior Angelo Lawrence (Mooresville, Ind. / Center Grove), senior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) and senior Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:24.52
- 500-yard freestyle: junior Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished in fourth place with a time of 4:48.94
- 50-yard freestyle: Harvey won the event with a time of 20.81 and Starling finished fourth with a time of 21.28
- 400-yard medley relay: team consisting of freshman Jackson Hodkey (Mentor), freshman Trey Nickoli (Lexington), freshman Isaac Tennant (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Moon) and Harvey finished third with a time of 3:28.97

The Raiders return to action tomorrow for the second day of the Wooster Invitational at Wooster High School with prelims starting at 10 a.m. followed by diving at 2 p.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
