YORK, N.Y. – The Mount Union women's wrestling team had a strong performance at the 14-team York College New Standard Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman
Abigail Mozden (Alliance) was named the Most Outstanding Women's Wrestler as she won 131.
As a team, Mount Union finished third out of 14 teams with 118 points.
Also winning their weight class for Mount Union was junior
Lyndsee Young (Mansfield, OH / Madison Comprehensive) at 207. Sophomore
Emma Hanrahan (Tippecanoe) was runner-up at 160. Freshman
Gabriella Gartin (Chippewa) placed third at 124.
The Purple Raiders are back in action Sunday, Dec. 14, as they compete in the Hiram Round Robin Tournament.
