ALLIANCE, Ohio—
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) broke a six year record in the 1,000-Meters Saturday afternoon while Mount Union picked up three wins on the women's side at the Jim Wuske Invitational.
Mason won the 1,000-Meters and crossed the line in 2:57.18 which was .57 faster than Hilary Reigle in 2019.
The 4x200-Meter Relay team consisting of Kennedy Berger, Cora Liskai,
Taylor Hennessey and Paula Incorvati won the race in a time of 1:48.36.
Julia Armogida won the 500-Meters with a time of 1:26.88.
Gianini Venuto finished runner-up in the 1,000-Meters with a time of 3:07.02.
Berger finished runner-up in the 60-Meter dash with a time of 8.08 while Liskai took home third in the 400-Meters with a time of 1:01.55.
Buzz Kline finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 47-feet 11.25-inches.
Ashley Cockrell and
Natasha Zahursky finished second and third in the 60-Meter hurdles with times of 9.55 and 9.64.
Mackenzie Davis finished third in the long jump with a leap of 16-feet 10.5-inches.
Makayla Sitzlar threw 41-feet 1-inch in the shot put taking third overall.
Mount Union will head to Ashland next weekend competing in the Fourth Jud Logan Light Giver Open on Friday and Saturday.
