AKRON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team finished in third place after the second day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Ocasek Natatorium at the University of Akron on Friday evening.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 343 which is 93 points ahead of fourth place Wilmington. John Carroll leads the event with a team score of 617.
All-OAC Finishers
- 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of sophomore Angelo Lawrence (Mooresville, Ind. / Center Grove), sophomore Daniel Claxton (Goergetown, Guyana / West Demerara Secondary), junior Lucas Starling (Lexington) and junior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) broke the school record with a time of 1:33.15
- 200-yard freestyle: senior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished third and broke the school record with a time of 1:40.84
- 100-yard backstroke: Hathaway finished third with a time of 50.59

The Raiders are in action again tomorrow for the final day of the OAC Championships at Ocasek Natatorium in Akron with prelims beginning at 10 a.m., diving at 2 p.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
