UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Mount Union women's wrestling team competed in the John Carroll Open on Sunday.
 
Freshman Emily Jirousek (Grafton, OH / Keystone) led the Purple Raiders with a fourth-place finish at 207. Freshman Hailey Rose-Caldwell (Cincinnati, OH / Taylor) finished in sixth-place at 180.  
 
Freshmen Ilani Jones-Wallace (Salem, OH / Salem) and Ariel Manning (Hawley, PA / Wallenpaupack Area) tied in seventh at 131. Freshman Maddy Bean (Alliance, OH / Marlington) placed eighth at 117.
 
Mount Union will next host Bethany on Thursday, Feb. 13 for the program's first-ever home dual meet.
