ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union graduate student
Katie Clark recorded her 400th point in Mount Union's 21-8 victory over Muskingum in Ohio Athletic Conference play Wednesday night.
The Purple Raiders (7-3, 2-0 OAC) were led by
Ella Nejad (Rocky River) with five goals while
Reese Fuenfstueck (Fairport, N.Y. / Fairport) had five assists and two goals.
Clark finished with four assists and two goals with Mackinze Kolstad (Victor, N.Y. / Victor),
Mae Pawlikowski (Orchard Park, N.Y. / Orchard Park) and
Emily Funk (Strongsville) each scoring a goal.
Eden Kesler (Chargin Falls / Kenston),
Ruby Robatin (Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and
Liz Schumacher (Columbus / Upper Arlington) each finished with a goal.
Tara Santoro (Canfield) led the defense with four caused turnovers while Nejad led the draw control with nine.
Muskingum (5-5, 0-1 OAC) was led by Riley Hudock with five goals, Maria Decaminada finished with three ground balls and Malena Brady finished with seven saves.
Mount Union jumped out to a 12-1 first quarter lead scoring 10 goals in the first 7:46 of the game. Mount Union then outscored Muskingum 4-2 taking a 16-3 lead at the half.
The final two quarters both teams scored two goals in the third quarter and three goals in the fourth quarter.
Mount Union will now have a week break until heading to Berea, Ohio to take on Baldwin Wallace at 7 PM on Wednesday.
