Men's Lacrosse: Raiders Run Away From Wilmington in OAC Victory

WILMINGTON, Ohio—Mount Union's men's lacrosse team defeated Wilmington 27-6 in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.
 
The Purple Raiders (8-2, 2-1 OAC) was led by Talon Osmun (Mattawan, Mich. / Mattawan) with four goals and Spencer Logsdon (Akron / Archbishop Hoban) with six points (3 goals and 3 assists).
 
Aiden Mays (Akron / St. Vincent St. Mary), Liam Erwin (Victor, N.Y. / Victor), Braylon Li (Richfield / Revere), and Sly Sundown (Akron, N.Y. / Akron) finished with three goals each. Noah Grigson (Portsmouth, R.I. / Bishp Stang) added two goals while Alex Nicholas (Sanford, Fla. / Seminole), Mark Zusman (Willoughby / Willoughby South), Grant Dunmire (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Hampton), Alec Feigel (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) and Todd Siford (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shaler) each scored for Mount Union.
 
Nicholas was a perfect 13 of 13 from the faceoff with Logan North (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) going eight for 11 and Nikolai Lopatka (Rochester, N.Y. / Penfield) finishing six of 10 on the faceoff. Logan Gunderman (Buffalo, N.Y. / Hamburg) was in goal making six saves for the Raiders.
 
Wilmington (4-7, 0-3 OAC) was led by Garrett Reigelsperge with two goals while Cody Everly and Peyton Thompson split the game evenly in goal with both making 15 saves.
 
Mount Union jumped out to an 8-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 15-3 halftime lead. The Raiders then outscored Wilmington 10-1 in the third quarter leading 25-4. The final quarter saw both teams score two goals.
 
Mount Union will next be in action on Wednesday at home taking on Baldwin Wallace in Kehres Stadium at 7 PM.
