The Mount Union baseball team (3-2) opened up its Florida road trip with an 11-4 victory over the Aurora Spartans (2-7). Offensively, the Purple Raiders started the game hot and didn't let their foot off the gas.
Starting pitcher senior
Brady Hansen (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver Area) had an impressive performance on the mound, pitching six innings while recording five strikeouts and allowing only two hits and one earned run. He did a fantastic job escaping a bases-loaded situation with just one out in the sixth inning.
Offensively, Mount Union notched 17 hits and 11 runs. They were led by graduate first baseman
Jaired Lehman (Monroeville, Pa. / Gateway), who went 4/6 on the day with a double and four RBIs. Senior third baseman
