ALLIANCE, Ohio— The Mount Union women's tennis team rallied to win, 4-3, over Geneva at home for its second straight win.
Mount Union (3-8) lost the doubles point and the first two singles matches, however, won its last four singles contests, highlighted by a match-deciding no. 6 singles win by freshman
Marianna Farmakidis (Green, Ohio / Green). She won 6-0, 6-3.
The other three singles victories came from freshman
Jillian Lohnes (Alliance, Ohio / Alliance) at no. 3 (6-2, 6-3), sophomore
Emily Borchert (Richfield, Ohio / Holy Name) at no. 4 (6-1, 6-3), and freshman
Hannah Neely (Hartville, Ohio / Lake) at no. 5 (6-1, 6-1).
The Purple Raiders will next host Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) foe Otterbein on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
