Women's Track and Field: Raiders Grab Two Victories and Two Top 20 Mark at Two Meets

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The mount Union women's track and field team competed at two different meets this weekend picking up a couple of victories and a couple top 20 national marks on Saturday.
 
At UNC Pembroke Kenadee Wayt, Mary Mason, Maddy Miles and Carlie Besecker joined together to run a 3:49.00 in the 4x400-Meter relay which is ranked sixth in Division III.
 
The 4x100-Meter relay took the victory with a time of 47.51 which consisted of Wayt, Miles, Paula Incorvati and Melanie Plecko.
 
A trio of Wayt, Mason and Besecker finished second through fourth with times of 57.06, 58.57 and 1:00.36 in the 400-Meters.
 
Avonlea Jefferson finished second in the 100-Meters hurdles with a time of 14.73 which is tied for 16th in Division III.
 
Makayla Sitzlar finished second in the shot put with a throw of 42-feet 3.5-inches.
 
Incorvati finished second in the 100-Meters with a time of 12.44.
 
Plecko picked up a second-place finish in the 200-Meters with a time of 25.77.
 
Halle Cochran won the 400-Meters with a time of 58.96 with teammate Callie Cyrus finishing right behind in second with a 59.20.
 
Madeline Burgess and Rylie Haynes took second and third in the long jump with leaps of 17-feet 2.25-inches and 16-feet 10.75-inches.
 
In the high jump Makenna Oszust and Megan Mahaffey finished second and third with jumps of 5-feet .25-inches and 4-feet 10.25-inches.
 
Kennedy Berger finished runner up in the 100-Meter dash with a time of 12.66 and third in the 200-Meters with a 26.32.
 
Natasha Zahursky in the 100-Meter hurdles finished second overall with a time of 15.23.
 
Gianini Venuto finished third in the 1,500-Meters running a 4:42.62.
 
Makenna Rudy finished third in the shot put with a throw of 39-feet 10-inches.
 
Annalyse Ames took third in the pole vault with a leap of 9-feet 9.25-inches.
 
Kennedy Schlessman finished third in the 800-Meters with a time of 2:21.92.
 
Mount Union will host the John Homon Open next Friday and Saturday in Kehres Stadium.
