WILMINGTON, Ohio—Mount Union's women's track and field team finished runner-up in the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field championships Friday afternoon.
Mount Union finished second with 196.25 points while Ohio Northern took the title with 213 points.
Mary Mason won the 800-Meters with a time of 2:12.79. Mount Union added two more placers with
Meghan Schwartz (4
th) and
Taylor Hennessey (7
th).
Mason teamed up with
Kenadee Wayt, Maddy Miles and
Carlie Besecker to win the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 3:47.45 which is ninth in Division III.
Madeline Burgress picked up a victory in the triple jump to start the day with a leap of 36-feet 10.5-inches.
The quartet of
Kenadee Wayt,
Paula Incorvati, Maddy Miles and
Kennedy Berger took home OAC runners-up in the 4x100-Meter relay with a time of 46.69 which is currently 10th in Division III.
Wayt and Miles grabbed All-OAC honors in the 200-Meters finishing second and third while
Melanie Plecko took home fifth.
Wayt and Incorvati ran the 100-Meters as Wayt finished runner-up earning All-OAC honors and Incorvati taking fifth overall.
The women's 100-Meter hurdles had four scorers with
Avonlea Jefferson leading the way grabbing All-OAC runner-up.
Elizabeth Mason (4
th),
Savannah Jones (5
th) and
Natasha Zahursky (6
th) also placed for the Raiders.
Besecker picked up All-OAC honors with a third-place finish in the 400-Meters.
Callie Cyrus (5
th),
Cora Liskai (7
th) and Miles (8
th) scored for Mount Union as well.
De'Aunee Thompson finished third in the 400-Meter hurdles earning All-OAC honors. Mount Union grabbed two more scoring spots with
Avonlea Jefferson (5
th) and
Kristen Walters (6
th).
Gianini Veunto (4
th),
Kennedy Schlessman (7
th) and
Marah Bethel (8
th) all scored for the Raiders in the 1,500-Meters.
Makayla Sitzlar and
Kenna Johnston took fifth and sixth in the shot put.
Gianini Venuto and
Jasmine Arnold picked up fourth and eight in the 5,000-Meters.
