GREENWOOD, Ind. – Mount Union's baseball team had four players named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team.
Senior
Chris Viamonte (Miami, Fla. / Coral Gables), junior
Anthony Warner (Louisville, Ohio / Louisville), sophomore
Luke Ickes (Green, Ohio / Green), and sophomore
Brycen Fox (Hamilton, Ohio / Badin) were all recognized.
Viamonte, a sports business and Spanish major, led the team with 47 runs scored, to go along with 27 RBIs, six doubles, and 20 stolen bases.
Warner, a sport business major, won five games with a 3.71 ERA and 28 strikeouts.
Ickes, an accounting major, batted .367 this season with 34 RBIs, 11 doubles, and 35 runs scored.
Fox, a biochemistry major, led the Raiders in steals with 21, to go along with 25 RBIs and six doubles.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom, including a GPA of at least 3.50. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
