ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union baseball senior third baseman
Chris Viamonte (Miami, Fla. / Coral Gables) made school history as he was named to the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Gold Glove Team.
Viamonte, selected as the best third baseman in NCAA Division III and one of just nine players in D3 to win a Gold Glove, is only the second Mount Union player in program history to earn a Gold Glove (Greg Ferrell/CF/2009).
It's the second Gold Glove of Viamonte's career, as he won one at Baldwin Wallace as a sophomore.
Viamonte, also selected on the 2025 ABCA NCAA Division III Region 7 All-Defensive Team, locked down the corner with a .964 fielding percentage with 24 putouts and 83 assists while turning five double plays. At the plate, he added 27 RBIs, six doubles, 47 runs, and 20 stolen bases.
Viamonte helped lead Mount Union to an OAC Regular Season title, the No. 1 seed in the 2025 OAC Tournament, and the first NCAA Tournament win in program history.
