PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania—The Mount Union women's cross-country team took to Schenley Park Friday morning to kick off the cross country season.
Savannah Dennison (Mentor) finished 10th overall in a time of 18:02.50 and led Mount Union to a third place team finish at the Panther Open.
Jada Ames (Canton / GlenOak) finished 22nd overall in a time of 19:22.10 while
Ashley Cooper (Mentor) and
Brooke Reardon (Fort Washington, PA / Upper Dublin) finished together in 25th and 26th overall with times of 19:30.50 and 19:34.90.
Rounding out the scoring was
Taylor Forbes (Byesville / Meadowbrook) with a time of 19:58.30 with an overall finish of 28th.
Noelle Dougherty (Greensburg, PA / Hempfield Area) and
Gabby D'Amico (Painesville / Riverside) finished sixth and seventh respectively on the team with times of 19:59.60 and 20:04.70.
The Raiders will next take to the course on Saturday, September 13th at the Otterbein Invite previewing the Ohio Athletic Conference championship course in Westerville, Ohio.
