CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Mount Union's men's soccer team defeated DeSales 2-0 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (6-1-2) would strike first when junior
Tyler Harsch (Aliquippa, Pa. / Central Valley) scored off a double assist from senior
Zander Plizga (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) and junior
Dom Kustura (Willowick / Eastlake North) to take a 1-0 lead in the 23
rd minute.
Mount Union would then add an insurance goal in the 58
th minute when junior
Alex Depperschmidt (Mansfield / Lexington) scored off an assist from senior
Braedon Kennedy (Strongsville) to extend the lead to two goals.
The Bulldogs (3-5-1) wouldn't have an answer over the remainder of the game as the Raiders would go on to win 2-0.
The Raiders wrap up non-conference play next when they head to University Heights on Wednesday, October 1 to take on John Carroll at 7 p.m.
