LEXINGTON, Ky. – Mount Union's men's soccer team played Transylvania to a 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon.
The Pioneers (2-1-1) would strike first when Gus Dickman scored in the 17
th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Purple Raiders (3-0-1) would answer with a goal of their own in the 27
th minute when senior
Braedon Kennedy (Strongsville) found the back of the net to tie the game at a goal apiece. Then just 10 seconds later Mount Union would take their first lead of the game when junior
Dom Kustura (Willowick / Eastlake North) was able to find the back of the net.
Transylvania would then tie the game once again in the 40
th minute when Dickman scored his second goal of the game. Neither team was able to break the tie over the course of the second half as they would go on to tie 2-2.
The Raiders return home next when they host Hiram on Thursday, September 11 at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium in Alliance.
