ALLIANCE, Ohio—
Savannah Dennison (Mentor) broke the school record for the 1,000-Meters winning in a time of 2:56.30 which bested the record held by
Mary Mason from last season by .88 seconds.
Mount Union hosted the Wuske Invite on Saturday afternoon and came away with four victories and two top 15 NCAA Division III marks.
Makayla Sitzlar won the shot put event with a toss of 43-feet 5-inches which is currently 15
th in Division III.
Laney Duff finished second in the high jump with a jump of 5-feet 4.5-inches which is tied for 14
th in the country.
Mount Union took the top four spots in the 500-Meters as
Taylor Hennessey (1:20.61) won the race,
Callie Cyrus (1:21.88) finished runner-up and Julia Armogida (1:22.78) with
Alivia Danowski (1:24.41) finished third and fourth.
Cora Liskai took the victory in the 400-Meters with a 1:00.15 while
Carlie Besecker and
Ella McElwee finished third and fourth with times of 1:02.18 and 1:02.26.
Marah Bethel (3:03.28),
Renee Cicco (3:18.24,
Gabby D'Amico (3:18.40) and
Jada Ames (3:21.84) finished second through fifth in the 1,000-Meter run.
Reese Osborn finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 46-feet 8.25-inches.
Mackenzie Davis finished second while Maddie Eldrigde finished fourth in the long jump with leaps of 17-feet 5.25-inches and 17-feet .5-inches respectively.
Melanie Plecko and Lisaki finished third and fourth in the 200-Meters finishing in times of 26.86 and 26.96.
Ames and Cicco finished third and fourth in the Mile run with times of 5:31.05 and 5:32.09.
Ashley Cockrell and
Lindsey Zera finished third and fifth in the 60-Meter hurdles running a 9.81 and 10.48.
Jessica Mason took home fourth in the pole vault with a leap of 10-feet 9-inches.
Paula Incorvati and
Kennedy Berger finished fourth and fifth in the 60-Meter dash with times of 8.13 and 8.17.
Madeline Burgess finished fifth in the triple jump hitting 34-feet 4.25-inches.
Mount Union returns to the track next weekend at Ashland or Kent State.
