Both teams enter today's OAC matchup with four wins in the conference. Mount Union is on a four-game winning streak, following a 70-27 win at home vs. Wilmington for its most points scored in a game this season. Ohio Northern won three straight before losing two of its last three games against nationally ranked OAC counterparts Baldwin Wallace and Heidelberg. The Polars Bears are undefeated at home this season, with their last win coming in dominant fashion, 62-24 over Otterbein on Oct. 17, their most points in a game since 2021, when they scored 62 at Wilmington. Saturday marks the 68th all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Purple Raiders owning a 53-13-1 (.798) record. Mount has won 19 straight games against the Polar Bears, including last year's 33-7 victory at Kehres Stadium. The Raiders' last loss against Ohio Northern came in 2005 (L, 21-14 at home), their only loss of the season en route to claiming the 2005 NCAA Division III National Championship—their eighth of 13 championships (NCAA Division III record).
