The 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship is on the line as the nationally ranked and undefeated Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets come to town. Whoever wins on Saturday will be in the driver's seat, with one week to go in the regular season, for the league's automatic bid for the 2026 NCAA Playoffs. If Baldwin Wallace wins today, it will secure the OAC Title outright for the first time in 35 seasons (since 1991) (the Yellow Jackets had a three-way tie with Mount Union and John Carroll in 1994 and Mount won the tie-breaker). If Mount Union wins today, it will have to win at Otterbein next week to secure the OAC's NCAA playoff bid. Mount Union has won 30 straight games over Baldwin Wallace, with its last loss coming on Oct. 15, 1994 (L, 23-10 at home). In the last 13 seasons, there's only been one one-score game - 2022 when Mount Union won one for the ages with a 23-21 regular season finale victory at Baldwin Wallace off a Hail Mary pass from Braxton Plunk to Wayne Ruby Jr. from 48 yards out as time expired, securing the OAC title. Mount Union is on a five-game win streak, while Baldwin Wallace has won nine straight, dating back to last year. The top two offenses of the OAC will be showcased with Baldwin Wallace leading the league averaging 51.8 points per game and Mount Union second with 42.9 points per contest, while the Raiders are number one in total offense in yards per game (533.0) and the Yellow Jackets second (490.5). BW is first in the OAC in rushing yards per game (232.0) and Mount is first in rushing defense (78.8). Saturday marks the 64th all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Purple Raiders owning a 41-21-1 (.658) record.
