WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Mount Union junior third baseman Drew Denham (Alliance, OH / Marlington) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Hitter of the Week.

Denham, an Akron transfer, delivered a dominant performance for the Purple Raiders across their high-scoring opening weekend, finishing with a .667 batting average (8-for-12) and a team-high 7 RBIs. His weekend was highlighted by an impressive showing in the first game against SUNY Brockport, where he went 5-for-6 with 5 RBIs, 4 runs scored, and three extra-base hits, including two doubles and a home run. He continued this momentum into the second game against Brockport, maintaining a perfect 3-for-3 mark at the plate with another home run and a double to drive in two additional runs.

Mount Union is scheduled to play three games this week at John Carroll, starting with RIT on Friday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. On Saturday, the Raiders are scheduled to play RIT at 11 a.m. and John Carroll at 2 p.m.
