Men's Lacrosse: Raiders Open 2026 Season With Victory

HIRAM, Ohio—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team dominated Hiram 18-8 to open its 2026 lacrosse season Monday night.
 
The purple Raiders (1-0) was led by Sly Sundown with three goals and three assists, Talon Osmun with five goals and Spencer Logsdon with five assists.
 
Alec Feigel finished the night with three goals, Braylon Li had two goals and then Jake Wooldridge, AJ Vasilko, Mason Discenza, Dylan Lulow and Todd Siford each had one goal.
 
Dylan Rondeau picked up the victory with five saves while Riley Douglas finished the day 11 of 13 on the face-off.
 
Hiram (0-2) was led by Will Minggia with two goals and two assists while Aidan Griffin was in goal making 14 saves.
 
Mount Union got the first three goals of the year with Feigel starting the season with Osmun and Discenza scoring as well. Hiram scored a goal but then a 4-0 run ended the quarter as Sundown scored three goals in the run and Osmun added one.
 
Mount Union shut out Hiram the second quarter as the Raiders took advantage adding three goals as Osmun, Li and Feigel each scored a goal with Mount Union taking a 10-1 lead into the halftime break.
 
Hiram started the third quarter on a 4-1 run as Osmun scored for Mount Union keeping an 11-5 lead. Over the final 7:36 in the third quarter Mount Union outscored Hiram 6-0 with six different Raiders finding the net with Li, Feigel, Lulow, Vasilko, Wooldridge and Osmun taking a 17-5 lead into the final quarter.
 
Hiram got the first three goals of the quarter but Mount Union got the final goal with Siford ending the game.
 
Mount Union returns home on Wednesday taking on Washington and Jefferson at Kehres Stadium at 7 PM.
