ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's tennis team defeated Thiel, 6-1, at home Friday evening inside Peterson Field House.

Senior Elliott Warner (New Philadelphia / New Philadelphia) led the way for the Purple Raiders (5-3) with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles. Warner also paired with sophomore Nick Sziraky (Uniontown / Green) to take No. 1 doubles, 6-2.

Junior Noah Fink (North Canton / Glenoak) teamed up with sophomore Luke Deland (Salem / Salem) for 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Freshman Carson Arfaras (Canfield / Canfield) won No. 3 singles (6-0, 6-0) and junior Jacob Timonere (Ashtabula / St. John) won No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-0). 

The Raiders remain at home for their next match tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 28, hosting Grove City at 1 p.m.
