TIFFIN, Ohio—The Mount Union women's track and field team won its fifth straight and 12th overall Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field title Saturday afternoon at Heidelberg University.
Mount Union took home the team title with 197 points 18.5 points ahead of second place Ohio Northern which had 178.50 points.
Savannah Dennison was named the OAC Most Outstanding Distance Runner as she was apart of the winning Distance medley relay on day one and then won the Mile (5:08.39), 1,000-Meters (3:01.33) and 3,000-Meters (10:25.27) on day two.
Taylor Hennessey added another victory to her indoor slate with a title in the 800-Meters in a time of 2:17.94 with teammate
Callie Cyrus right behind as the OAC runner-up with a time of 2:19.15.
Ashley Eberhardt also scored for the Raiders with a time of 2:25.71 finishing seventh.
Hennessey and Cyrus teamed up with
Cora Liskai and
Ashley Eberhardt won the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 4:01.86.
Along with Dennison,
Marah Bethel finished as the OAC runner-up in the Mile (5:09.22) and 1,000-Meters (3:01.87) behind her teammate.
The team of
Carlie Besecker,
Paula Incorvati,
Melanie Plecko and Liskai finished OAC runner-up in the 4x200-Meter relay with a time of 1:44.12.
Madeline Burgess finished as the OAC runner-up in the triple jump with a leap of 37-feet .25-inches while
Lily Polk grabbed eighth with a jump of 34-feet 2-inches.
Makayla Sitzlar was the OAC runner-up in the shot put with a toss of 42-feet 8-inches.
Laney Duff was also an OAC runner-up with a leap of 5-feet 3.75-inches in the high jump.
Incorvati came back in the 60-Meters to grab fourth with a time of 7.95 in the 60-Meters and seventh in the 200-Meters with a time of 26.47.
Renee Cicco finished fifth in the mile with a time of 5:19.22 and took home sixth in the 1,000-Meters with a time of 3:10.14.
Avonlea Jefferson (9.35), Aanika Sommers (9.46) and
Ashley Cockrell (9.63) finished fifth, seventh and eighth respectively.
Ashley Cooper finished seventh in the 3,000-Meters with a time of 10:42.93.
Plecko picked up eighth in the 200-Meters with a time of 26.58.
Head coach
Kevin Lucas and his staff were named the Coaching Staff of the Year.
