ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Mount Union baseball team's impressive start to the 2026 season has achieved the highest national ranking in any poll in program history, landing at No. 13 in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25.

Paul Hesse, is 19-4 overall and 4-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).Â
The Purple Raiders' previous highest ranking was No. 15, last week, the week of March 24. When Mount Union was ranked No. 17 for the week of March 17 this season, it was the second time ever that the program cracked the Top 20 in D3baseball.com's Top 25, matching the No. 17 ranking in 2014. The D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 poll has been in place since 2010.
Additionally, the Raiders earned a spot in the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) in the Top 20 for the first time in school history, currently at No. 18. Mount's previous highest ranking in the ABCA poll was No. 22 in 2025. The ABCA poll started in 2015.
Mount Union returns to action on Friday, April 3, with a conference doubleheader at Wilmington with game one starting at 1 p.m.Â
