BEXLEY, Ohio—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team fell 13-7 in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon to Capital.
The Purple Raiders (6-6, 2-3 OAC) were led by
Noah Grigson and
Sly Sundown with two goals each.
AJ Vasilko,
Talon Osmun and
Vinny Marszalek each scored a goal for the Raiders.
Will Entner finished the day with 13 saves in goal while
Spencer Logsdon finished the day with three ground balls for Mount Union.
Capital (6-6, 4-1 OAC) was led by Jess Lipp with six goals while Wyatt Stemler finished the day with nine saves in goal.
Capital outscored Mount Union 4-1 in the first quarter and 6-1 in the second quarter taking a 10-2 lead into halftime. In the third quarter Mount Union held Capital to just one goal but was held scoreless heading into the fourth quarter.
Mount Union attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter outscoring Capital 5-2 in the fourth quarter but could not get closer than six of the Comets.
Mount Union returns home on Wednesday taking on Marietta at 7 pm.
