Women's Lacrosse: Raiders Dominate Capital for Senior Day Victory

ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union's women's lacrosse team dominated Capital 22-2 Saturday afternoon for Senior Day in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
 
Mount Union honored its six graduating seniors before the game today in Haylee Handrahan, Abby Reagan, Celia Damiani, Maitland Fuentes, Ella Nejad, and Delaney Brown.
 
The Purple Raiders (7-5, 3-0 OAC) had 13 different scorers for the second straight game as Handrahan led the way with five goals and two assists.  
 
Nejad finished with three goals with Emma Kielbasa, Abby Harps and Lizzie Dorley each scoring two goals.
 
Fuentes, Aliza Very, Olivia Bardeschewski, Ruby Robatin, Chloe Banno, Mae Pawlikowski, Emma Labbe and Anna Weinel each scored a goal.
 
Reagan picked up the victory in goal making two saves while Kielbasa led the way with four ground balls and Alexa Udovicic with Dorley finished with three caused turnovers.                                                          
Capital (4-8, 0-4 OAC) was led by Kadyn Hyer and Heather Stoner with each scoring a goal.
 
Mount Union outscored Capital 5-1 in the first quarter and then exploded for eight goals in the second quarter while holding Capital to none.
 
In the third quarter Mount Union held Capital 5-0 and then outscored then 4-1 in the fourth quarter for the victory.
 
Mount Union heads on the road to take on Otterbein in Westerville on Wednesday at 7 pm. This game could feature the only two undefeated teams in the OAC depending on the result from the Otterbein Baldwin Wallace match up this weekend.
