ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union women's track team won two events hosting the
John Homon Open Saturday afternoon.
Makayla Sitzlar won the shot put on Saturday with a throw of 41-feet 10.25-inches which puts her in 21
st in Division III.
Ashley Cooper took home the victory in the 10,000-Meter run with a time of 39:07.68. She was followed by
Zoe Seabeck (2
nd),
Taylor Forbes (3
rd) and Brooklyn Patrick (5
th) with times of 39:12.40, 39:29.96 and 40:44.45.
Madline Burgess finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 36-feet 5.75-inches.
Shanaray Kager grabbed third in the discus throw with a throw of 136-feet 2-inches.
Reese Osborn finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 141-feet 11-inches.
The quartet of
Kristen Walters,
Cora Liskai,
Carlie Besecker and
Ashley Eberhardt finished third in the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 4:02.20.
Annalyse Ames finished third in the pole vault with a leap of 10-feet 9.5-inches.
Laney Duff and
Makenna Oszust finished fourth and fifth in the high jump with leaps of 5-feet .5-inches and 4-feet 10.5-inches.
Maddie Eldridge finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 17-feet 1.5-inches.
Makenna Rudy finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 37-feet 10.75-inches.
Mount Union will next compete at either Otterbein or Baldwin Wallace on Friday and Saturday.
