Men's Lacrosse: Mount Union Dominates Marietta for Key OAC Win

The Mount Union men's lacrosse team dominated Marietta in a 22-4 Ohio Athletic Conference victory to secure a critical third conference win of the season. 

The Purple Raiders (7-6, 3-3 OAC) dominated the first quarter, outscoring the Pioneers (6-8, 2-5 OAC) 8-0, and in the second quarter, Mount Union did not let its foot off the pedal, outscoring Marietta 5-1. 

In the second half, the Purple Raiders continued to excel, outscoring the Pioneers 4-2 in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Mount Union dominated Marietta, scoring 4-1 and securing a 22-4 victory. 

In the game, the Purple Raiders had an impressive 34 shots on goal and swung the rock, tallying 13 assists.  

William Entner had a strong day in goal, having an .800 save percentage and grabbing 12 saves. 

Talon Osmun led the Purple Raiders with five goals and dished out two assists. Sly Sundown,  Spencer Logsdon, and Braylon Li each scored three goals for Mount Union, and Sundown led the team with three assists. 

Other multi-goal scorers for Mount Union include Aiden MaysHenry Bogash, and Alec Feigel, who all scored two goals. Henry Schenk and Liam Shields also added one goal for the Purple Raiders in the team's dominant offensive performance. 

With the win, Mount Union holds its spot in the OAC standings and stays in an OAC tournament spot as the season starts to wind down. The Purple Raiders controlled the game from start to finish, showing they're starting to hit their stride at the right time. 

Mount Union's next game will be an OAC matchup at Ohio Northern, scheduled for 1:00 PM.
