BEREA, Ohio—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team fell 23-6 in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinal to No. 1-seed Baldwin Wallace Wednesday night.
The Purple Raiders (9-8, 4-4 OAC) had six different goal scorers with
Gary Possler,
AJ Vasilko,
Braylon Li,
Alec Feigel,
Vinny Marszalek and
Sly Sundown each scoring a goal.
William Entner finished the game with 17 saves while Possler finished with five ground balls.
Baldwin Wallace (14-4, 8-0 OAC) was led by Keyan Moser with three goals and an assist and AJ Schultz with 10 saves.
Baldwin Wallace outscored Mount Union 4-1 I the first quarter. Scoring for Mount Union in the quarter was Feigel.
The second quarter saw four straight goals from Baldwin Wallace, but Mount Union responded with a goal from Sundown and Vasilko to end the quarter trailing 8-3.
Baldwin Wallace took control of the game in the third quarter outscoring Mount Union 8-2 in the quarter as Possler and Marszalek each scored a goal.
Baldwin Wallace finished off the game outscoring Mount Union 7-1 as Li scored the long goal for the Raiders.
Mount Union ends its season with a couple firsts in beating Otterbein for the first time in 15 tries and winning an OAC tournament game for the first time in school history.
