HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Mount Union's men's golf team was tied for 32
nd following a weather shortened first round at the NCAA Championship at Mission Resort and Club on Tuesday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders were at +13 before play was suspended due to severe weather, Claremont Mudd-Scripps leads the event at -4.
Freshman
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) was +8 through 12 holes for Mount Union, sophomore
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) and freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) both played 10 holes before play was suspended, shooting a +4 and +3 respectively. Freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) got nine holes in and was even par through those holes and junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) was +6 through eight holes when play was suspended.
The Raiders will resume play tomorrow morning and continue play for round two at the Mission Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
