ALLIANCE, Ohio – Five members of the Mount Union baseball team were named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region Teams: Region VII.

Junior third baseman Drew Denham (Alliance, OH / Marlington) and sophomore shortstop Daniel Tome III (Cleveland, OH / St. Edwards) were named to the First Team; junior starting pitcher Ty Dennison (Hudson, OH / Hudson) was named to the Second Team; and junior utility player Luke Ickes (Green, OH / Green) and junior designated hitter Trevor Szekely (Canal Fulton, OH / Northwest) were named to the Third Team.

Tome led the team in RBIs with 56, batting .392. Denham led Mount Union with a .438 batting average, to go along with 45 RBIs. Ickes went 8-1 on the mound and batted .304 with 23 RBIs at the plate. Dennison went 9-1 on the mound with 114 strikeouts, breaking a school record for strikeouts in a season. Szekely batted .382 with 38 RBIs and seven home runs.

Mount Union, under the leadership of 30th-year Head Coach Paul Hesse, finished the season 32-12 overall—its most wins in program history. The Purple Raiders advanced to their third NCAA Tournament ever in program history, including in back-to-back years (2026, 2025, and 2013).
