ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team fell at home 2-1 against Wisconsin Platteville on Sunday afternoon in Kehres Stadium.
Mount Union (1-1) possessed the ball the majority of the first half, but despite their efforts, Wisconsin Platteville (1-2) was able to find a goal in the 41st minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Purple Raiders came out of halftime and found the back of the net at the 47th minute as junior
Rachel Chenos (Hilliard / Hilliard Bradley) crossed a corner kick to Senior Eleanore Bush (Concord Twp. / Riverside) for a goal to tie the game.
Platteville responded ten minutes later in the 57th minute to take a 2-1 lead.
Mount Union would not be able to answer over the final 33 minutes of the game as the Pioneers would go on to win 2-1.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, September 12 when they host Penn State Behrend at 6:30 p.m. in Kehres Stadium in Alliance.
